Adopt an Animal

The Muskoka Wildlife Centre currently houses and cares for just over 70 individual animals, ranging from moose to tree-frogs and everything in between.

An enormous percentage of our yearly budget is spent on the food and veterinary care of these creatures. Our adoption program was born in an attempt to help with this expense, as well as a means to allow our visitors to be involved in the work we do. We calculated the approximate amount spent on each individual animal for one year, not including any wages of care staff. By giving a monetary gift in a specific amount for each critter, any person or group could effectively “adopt” an any animal for a year, covering it’s cost of care.
